Your experience starts with an air-conditioned bus tour of historic Cockburn Town where 1700’s buildings dot cobblestone streets. Winding roads complete with roaming donkeys and horses lead you to ConchWorld, set on a fifty foot high hill over-looking the Atlantic Ocean.
Meet and greet ConchWorld’s mascots “Sally & Jerry” as they get bare-naked to expose the girls from the boys. Have a close encounter with our juvenile and adult conchs as they move at a snail’s pace in their specially designed habitat. Relax in our air-conditioned theater for a 5 minute movie on processing, cooking and manufacturing household items from the shells of these amazing animals.
Nowhere else in the world will you be able to experience a Conch Farm, a facility designed to grow conch from eggs to adults. The Conch Farming Pavilion explains the entire scientific process that was developed to insure that this commercially endangered animal will never disappear.
Visit our Pink Pearl Gift Shop for all things conch and more. Choose from conch shell jewelry and ornaments, t-shirts or try your hand at blowing a conch horn, traditionally used by fishermen to announce their catch. No trip to the Caribbean would be complete without sampling our local conch and fish dishes available at the Bare Naked Conch Café. Relax over your meal to the sounds of local music in our outdoor restaurant or take a cold drink and snack to secluded Materson’s Point beach for a swim or snorkel. If you are on a cruise ship our bus will get you back on time.
